The new YouLoveUs site launches
After weeks of late nights, Tetley tea, cans of Monster blue and the most phenomenal BLTs this side of New York; we’re overwhelmingly pleased to announce the launch of the new youlove.us web site.
With the previous version garnering so much interest and appreciation we were keen to retain as much of the creativity and quirkiness as possible but for plain and simple business reasons we needed to find a way to incorporate many, many more pages and a much more web-friendly way of navigating the web site.
Just in case you miss it – keep your eye on the headings on the homepage ;) Tutorial for how we built this site is in the pipeline.
For anyone that misses the old version, we’ve put it up at http://youlove.us/one just for you!
Let us know your thoughts in the comments, and do let us know if you notice any bugs (unless they’re IE6-related, as we have decided not to support that 8 year old browser for obvious PNG-related reasons).
I LOVE IT!!!
Only bad comment I have is its a touch slow to load :(
ok, u gotta blog on how you made the background work. that’s rad. yeah, i said it.
also, there’s like a 20-something pixel bump at the very bottom from that annoying statpress smiley face, need to set that to display:none
Looks very nice guys! Great work!
Beautiful & fresh site. We love it! All our best wishes, youlove.us!
Very great work. The content png’s homepage is a really good idea. I’ve got only one thing to say, is that your background (bg.jpg) is not well duplicated on borders (1920×1080).
Great work.
Love the new design, ground-breaking! I think you can expect lots of mimics.
@everyone: Thank you for the lovely comments!
@Simon: Yes we’re hoping that the rich visuals are worth the slightly longer download time :)
@Tammy Hart: Thank you yes the nasty statpress graphic is gone now :)
@Fred: Which part isn’t duplicating well for you? I’ve checked and seems fine on our machines, what’s your browser/setup?
Hey guys it’s great to see such a fantastic and original design and from a British company at that. Congrats and good luck.
Hey, I said something wrong about this duplicating story.
The problem is not your bg.jpg, this is the bg-footer.png.
This is not web duplicated on borders.

Good Luck guys.
Simply beautiful. I love the background animation. Period.
Lovely concept and execution, its just a shame that it uses so very much CPU. I passing the link around the office and our electricity suppliers phoned up to say they were going to need to build another coal power station to accommodate our needs :P
